Frequently asked questions. I got you covered!

What should we wear to our session?

Try to keep clothing neutral and light (think beiges, greys, light and airy colors). Be sure to add some textures to some of the outfits in order to give interest and depth. Do not be afraid of layers - this also adds depth. The key is to coordinate with your family, but not to match. Once you book a session, I will share a guide that will help with this!

What is included in my booked session?

This is all dependent on the package that you choose to invest in. You will always receive fully edited digital images, an online gallery, and a print release.

How do I receive my digital photos?

You will find a link in your email to a beautiful and personal online gallery for you, along with access and download instructions. This will be private to you, unless you want to share the link with others. This is a fun moment when you receive the link in your email, get ready for the fun!

How do I book a session?

Go under the “contact” tab on my website and complete the contact form. I will contact you within 24 hours to choose a date and complete proposal.

When should I book a maternity session?

I always recommend taking maternity photos between 28-37 weeks, so make sure you plan ahead. I also offer package deals if we combine this with Fresh 48 and lifestyle newborn photos.

When should I book a Fresh 48 and/or a lifestyle newborn sesh?

I suggest getting your due date on my calendar during the second trimester so that you’re booked. No worries if your baby(s) makes an early debut, I will do my absolute best to work you in for this monumental time in your life!

When should I book a family sesh?

You can do this anytime throughout the year. Please plan accordingly based on the season. I do offer winter sessions, which can be absolutely beautiful…just be ready to photograph in layers and winter clothes! My fall season is busiest, so be sure to book in advance.

What if the weather isn’t good?

We will work to reschedule your session at the earliest convenience. Midwest weather can be temperamental, I always make the call close to.

One of my family members is sick, what do I do?

I get that life happens, please do not stress! I will work with you to find a new session date.

For an in-home session, what if my house isn’t professionally decorated?

Please NEVER worry about this! That is nothing to ever have a concern with. These photos are uniquely you and tell YOUR story. Have your home reflect who you are and that season of your life. To prepare, feel free to clean up dirty socks from the floor…but no need to make a Pottery Barn trip!
